Thoughts on A Father's Day (Pantoum Sonnet)

Another Father’s Day has come around,
Another day of wishing you were here,
And although many years have flown I’ve found
I miss you just as much, year after year.

Another day of wishing you were here,
Although I know you’d run your earthly race,
I miss you just as much, year after year,
I would give anything to see your face.

Although I know you’d run your earthly race
That you were weary then, ready to go,
I would give anything to see your face,
But you are happy where you are I know.

So Dad if you’re around you’ll hear me say,
“I love and miss you, Happy Father’s Day.”
