I am what I am
Though I’m just an ordinary man.
I have a multiplicity
of different personalities
Which I use as and when I can.
I am a father and a son,
a brother and to some a friend
My role I constantly amend,
a different face for everyone.
Dependent on the role I play.
I am perceived by others eyes
as young and foolish, old and wise.
Making adjustments every day.
But which of these is the real me.
I am a complex character
You choose the one that you
prefer which fits with your
reality.
I’m just an ordinary man
fulfilling roles assigned to me
by other people randomly.
I simply do the best I can.
