There is Beauty Left to Find
In the midst of an ugly and evil filled world,
all around us can beauty be found.
In simplistic signs, nature leaves distlnct marks
On the land and the sea they abound.
The fresh drop of dew on a rose petal shines
like a diamond in new morning light
The varied brlght colors on butterfly wings
as they flitter and flutter from sight.
When the sky is washed clean by a fresh falling rain,
leaving fresher and healthier air.
and then through the prism of Nature we look
and the rainbow’s sharp colors appear.
The picture a summer sunset can present
with its unmatched and colorful blend
Is a message of unblemished lovliness that
only God and his angels can send.
The snowfall that covers a high mountain range,
the majestic Redwoods standng tall.
The surf that will beat on a broad sandy beach
and the leaves of a New England Fall
The joyful chirp of a tweeting canary,
the rooster’s abrupt morning crow,
the laugh of a toddler as he runs in the sun ,
with his bright shining eyes all aglow.
In the vast boundless range of the beauty of earth
Observed here is merely a peek
So let us not dwell on the ugly and vile,
but the beauty instead we should seek
