Unexpected Flatulence

Across the pond flew President Bush
with Laura to visit the Queen,
and the reception that was given them
was as lavish  as ever seen.

An ornate carriage awaited them,
equipped to exceed their needs.
And chosen to pull the heads of state
were six magnificent steeds.

As they in comfort rolled along,
a loud blast soon occurred
Flatulence from the right rear horse
By all in the carriage was heard.

The carriage momentarily shook,
then resumed its normal pace.
No sign of what had just occurred
was seen on any face.

An air of dignity prevailed
for a while until the Queen
spoke to George and Laura Bush,
her embarrassment clearly seen.

“I’m sorry Mr. President,”
the queen tried to console.
“Even though I am indeed the queen,
some things I can’t control”

“Think nothing of it,” her guest replied.
“It’s quite all right, of course.
And if you hadn’t mentioned it,
I’d have thought it was a horse
