They Have  Their Rights

All warriors who are battle bound
and headed for Iraq
are cautioned to be vigilant.
Do not let out the slack.

Terrorists are like a pit of snakes,
no quarter will they give.
Human life means naught to them.
They don’t want us to live.

Our nature is not to snuff out life,
It’s not what we have willed.
In dealing with vermin or rattlesnakes, though,
It ‘s either to kill or be killed .

Marines and soldiers risk their lives
in Baghdad’s battlefield.
A daily struggle goes on there,
They do not dare to yield.

But there are those among us who
couldn’t fit a soldier’s shoe
They are more concerned with enemy rights,
condemn what our soldiers do.

“They have their rights, we can’t be harsh”
the fools and traitorous cry
Marines and soldiers concede one right,
They have the right to die.

You fight a war with bullets and bombs.
You don’t negotiate.
How can you talk to a frenzied fool
who’s filled with so much hate?

Let’s look at one scenario
where a soldier might comply
“We don’t believe in all this crap,
but we’ll give it a try.”

“Hey, you guys, before I shoot
here’s what I plan to do-
I’m gonna read your flaking rights
On demand by the ACLU.

“You have the right to drop your arms,
to cut and run or fly.
But if you choose to shoot at me,
You’ll have the right to die."
