Soul Food
Have patience, oh my restless soul.
By selfishness and greed
and by neglect you’ve not received
the spiritual food you need.
A special nourishment is required
for growth of a healthy soul,
which, when blended with physical form,
results in a being that’s whole.
This provision is in the angels’ realm,
where the seraphim have trod.
It is given free to those who ask.
It comes from the Hand of God.
By accepting the gifts of a loving God
and sharing this love with your brothers,
you’ll redeem the nourishment for your soul
and pave the way for others.
A soul that grows to maturity
using sustenance stays alive,
exists on its own outside the shell,
in eternal life can thrive.
But a soul deprived of nourishment
while facing stress and strife,
may wither and die like an unwatered plant
and miss eternal life.
