Bundles of Joy

Little whirlwinds of activity
Bounding across the floor
Curious and independent,
Babies they are no more

The first milestone of life attained
At the ripe old age of one,
And little do they now realize
That life has just begun.

With unrestricted energy
From place to place they flit
For fleeting moments only
Will they take time to sit.

Trust and faith are beaming from
Each innocent little face
The scars of life’s realities
Have not yet left their trace.

Your attention is sorely solicited
It is always in demand
And gestures of love these little folk
Do thoroughly understand.

So smother them with love and care
And keep their faith intact
Then on these budding lives you’ll find
You’ve made a great impact.
