God has called his servant home.
With soul unspoiled and clean,
Art Woodman will exchange this life
for life on Heaven’s scene.
His great heart now has ceased to beat,
his body in repose,
no longer plagued by stress and strain,
by mundane cares or woes.
His functions on this planet Earth
by God’s will have been stilled.
The purpose that God planned for him
has been more than fulfilled.
His body now has been prepared
for its eternal rest.
But those touched by his lovlng soul
will know they have been blessed.
His rugged outer shell of clay
has housed a gentle soul,
so richly nourished by God’s love
to make his spirit whole.
Unfettered now by earthbound chains,
his soul is free to roam.
And angels come to escort him
back to his heavenly home.
